This policy explains what we do with your information when you use this website. We have kept it short and specific, because it describes only what actually happens here.

What we collect, and why
When you write to us through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, and the message you send. You may also choose to give us a phone or WhatsApp number, your travel dates and the number of guests. We use this only to answer you and to arrange your stay. We do not use it to send marketing, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
When you visit the site, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used: which pages people read, which language they choose, and where visits come from. This only happens if you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics are loaded at all. You can change your decision at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
When you make a booking, the booking is handled by Lodgify, not by us directly. Your booking and payment details are entered and processed on Lodgify's systems, under Lodgify's own privacy terms. We receive the booking information we need in order to host you.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers, and only for the purposes described above.
Some of these providers are located outside Panama and outside the European Economic Area. Where that applies, transfers are made under the safeguards those providers offer, including standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it
Inquiries from the contact form are kept in our email for as long as they are useful to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation, and then deleted.
Analytics data is kept by Google for 14 months and then deleted automatically. It is aggregated and does not identify you personally; your IP address is anonymized.
Booking data is held by Lodgify under their own terms, and by us for as long as required by Panamanian tax and accounting law.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop using it. Write to info@sixpillarsresort.com and we will answer.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to our processing, to ask for your data in a portable format, and to complain to your national data protection authority.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for advertising and does not track you across other websites.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. The site stores your choice locally in your browser so we do not ask again on every page.
The Lodgify booking widget may set its own cookies when you use it to search for dates or make a booking. Those are governed by Lodgify's privacy terms.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Children of all ages are welcome as guests of the resort, and any information about them is provided by the adult making the booking.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly.
